Frankincense Oil (Serrata) is a steam-distilled pure essential oil from the gum of Boswellia Serrata. The Boswellia Serrata tree is indigenous to the Middle East. The Boswellia Serrata tree produces a milky-white sap which hardens into a gum resin. This resin is scraped off and steam-distilled to produce the Frankincense Serrata essential oil. This variety of frankincense essential oil carries a spicy balsamic note. Frankincense Serrata has been used for centuries at wellness centers, spas, yoga centers as an aid in treatments and meditation practices. Frankincense Oil (Serrata) has been believed to have therapeutic properties.
